On Saturday I wanted to get a next day delivery of flowers to my girlfriend. The Serenata website was covered in ads saying "Next day delivery" and the flowers I chose had a photo stating "Next Day", so I bought them. I paid extra for "Next day before midday" delivery.
Of course, once I had paid, the receipt said "Monday before midday". I immediately wrote to them, and asked them why, and when I didn't get a response, I wrote to them middle of Sunday asking them to change the delivery address to my girlfriend's office, if it were to be a Monday delivery.
Eventually I got a reply saying that I should read their terms and conditions - no change of address after 8pm.
So, they tried to deliver the flowers to my girlfriend's flat when she was off at work. She wasn't there, so they gave them to some barrowboy out front to give to her. Really?
I called the help line, and they told me that they couldn't do anything, they were just a subcontractor, and couldn't resolve any situations, just pass on notes. So I wrote to Serenata. They sent me...
