Editor's Review:

eFlorist benefits from over 65 years of experience in the field of flower delivery, as it grew out of the long-established flower delivery company, Teleflorist. Following recent mergers, eFlorist is now part of the EuroFlorist Europe group, based in the Netherlands, with a professional network of over 10,000 florists around the world. All online flower delivery companies have unhappy customers, but eFlorist seems to be one of the better ones, with a reputation for usually providing good quality flowers (with a 7-day freshness guarantee), a range of premium delivery options, a UK-based customer service team, and good value for money compared to competitors.

Quality and Range

The eFlorist.co.uk website is simple and straightforward to navigate, with not too many subsections where customers might get lost. There is a wide range of bouquets and flower arrangements available on the website with enough variety to seduce the most demanding of customers. During our research, we appreciated that there were so many designs to choose from, and yet we did not feel overwhelmed by an over-abundance of varieties like with some of the other flower delivery services that have ranked lower in our listings. Products can be sorted by price, by type, or by occasion, including: “Birthday”, “Romantic”, “New Baby”, “Sympathy”, or "Seasonal Flowers", for example. This means that whether you know exactly what you are looking for or are just browsing for something to take your fancy, the right flowers are never further than a click away.

All flower arrangements come with the option to make your order extra special with add-ons such as vases, chocolates, teddy bears, balloons, and much more. We were especially impressed by the selection of ready-to-display bouquets delivered in aquapacks. These not only keep the blooms fresh, without requiring to be watered by the recipient, but they also stand up without the need for a vase, making them the perfect choice for those who enjoy beautiful, hassle-free flowers.

eFlorist also caters for all budgets. You can choose from the “Luxury Flowers” range for the very best blooms that money can buy, expertly selected and arranged by eFlorist partners, or the “Under £30” section for a little something that will make someone’s day a lot brighter.

The pictures on the website are large and crisp so online shoppers can get a good idea of what they are ordering. It's important to keep in mind that, although most arrangements are standardised according to eFlorist's guidelines, some local florists may occasionally create a slightly different arrangement to that shown in the picture. Most bouquets exist in regular, medium, and large, and the display pictures reflect your choice of size by showing what the upgrade you selected looks like. We really liked this feature and found it very customer-friendly, but a more detailed description of the number of stems and blooms in each bouquet would be very helpful as well, in order to provide customers with all the information to decide on the perfect flower order for their needs.

Global Network of Florists

Ever since Teleflorist took a leap into the digital age and eFlorist started taking online orders via its website, the company has established itself as one of the market leaders in the field of flower delivery in the UK. It also has a strong European presence, after a recent merger with the EuroFlorist group, which operates in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and Sweden. With its recent expansion, eFlorist now has a network of international florists who can deliver to addresses in over 140 countries around the world.

The FAQ section of the website is extensive and covers a range of issue, and in the unlikely event that you cannot find the answer you need, the eFlorist customer care service can be contacted by email, phone, or by post to suit your preferred method of communication.

As one would expect from a company placed so high up in our listings, eFlorist takes customer satisfaction to heart and strives for excellence in all areas of the flower delivery business. With their 7-day freshness guarantee, for example, they vow to send a beautiful, fresh product that will last for at least 7 days; if the local florist fails in this regard, they promise to provide a refund without quibbles, on production of a picture of the bouquet received within the 7-day guarantee period.

With such a large network of local florists situated all over the world, some of whom also undertake some of the deliveries themselves, it is inevitable that some orders will sadly not be fulfilled to eFlorist’s own high standards. In the case of a disappointing product or a delayed or lost delivery, their UK-based customer care team is at your disposition to answer all types of enquiries and discuss a refund where appropriate, in an effort to ensure that you have the best experience possible with their service. No company can provide flawless service with 100% satisfaction at all times. The larger the company, the more orders being processed, the more chance there is for problems to arise. When reading negative customer reviews on any product or service, it's important to consider the volume of orders processed by a company and the fact that unhappy customers are more likely to vent their frustrations than happy customers are to share their positive experiences.

In order to handle your most delicate orders with professionalism, the funeral range is available for browsing on a separate webpage, and eFlorist staff personally fulfill all orders for posies and wreaths. This is a nice touch designed to offer extra care to those who require their services during a difficult time.

Summary

Building upon the success and reputation of its ancestor, Teleflorist, as a market leader in the field, eFlorist is emerging as a leading online flower delivery service, with an impressive global network of florists. They certainly don't have a perfect record, as our user reviews imply, but we believe that eFlorist now offer one of the better and more reliable flower delivery services in the UK and around the world. Whether you are looking for a traditional bouquet in the budget price range, or a luxurious floral arrangement, eFlorist has lots to offer so they are certainly worth considering before you decide which online flower delivery service is right for you.
