Amaryliis bulbs..
22 January 2018
Reviewer: Amaryllis Lover from Cheltenham Glos.

I bought an Amaryllis lily bulb last November - it was encased in red velvet and wax and the label said don't do anything to it apart from leave it alone. It started 6.50 inches high with just the green shoots showing. I was intrigued to see what would happen to this bulb - after Christmas it was 17.50 inches high and had produced one stalk with 4 flowers on it. Mid January this stalk has gone over and another stalk has grown with four more blooms on it. I am absolutely amazed with this bulb and was wondering what was in the wax that surrounded it that required no attention at all. I love amaryllis - they are beautiful flowers that I have for presents each Christmas.

In summary, I would recommend Marks and Spencer Flowers to a friend.

Came late, ruined message
12 November 2017
Reviewer: Fairbourne from London England

I have to say I did not order these, so I can't demand money back or comment on price etc. I've put one star for everything because it says I can't publish it otherwise, and there no "not applicable" buttons. What I can honestly say is the following, as the recipient. By the time they arrived with Yodel, my birthday was over, it was the following day, so my friends were disappointed. Celebration was done and dusted, back to work and normality, so the pleasure in them was lost. They look nice enough, but some were obviously cut far too early and you can see from the size of the buds that they're not going to open. But the message ... my first name was spelled wrongly on the card and the box, as was my surname. The sender's name was spelled wrongly also, and in the middle of the card whoever typed it up had written "pooy" !!!! Is that supposed to be a joke?! Offensive, whoever took the order couldn't spell or even take down the spellings correctly - Barbara is hardly difficult and she is a very clearly spoken... (Read the full review)

Dreadful service, trashed plant display, appalling response
28 September 2017
Reviewer: Very Upset And Disappointed. from Hertfordshire, UK

197 of 314 people found this review helpful

I ordered a plant basket for a neighbour who had just had her first baby and fortunately arranged to have ir delivered to myself so I could take it round there with a card personally.

Thank goodness I did because the basket arrived (dumped in my doorway) not just damaged but a complete trashed mess. The box used was far too large, flimsy and had totally inadequate packaging to protect the basket. The plants were all damaged to a significant degree, one being totally destroyed, one was in the box with half the earth from the basket.

I was in shock and had this gone direct to the new mum, it would have been a very distressing experience for her.

Tried to sort this out but the website kept messing about and I have no idea still if my request for a refund was acted up one as there is no record sent to the buyer that they have used the contact system and what message was sent. The wait time to talk to someone went from over 15 minutes which I could not keep holding on for to over 30 minutes which was impossible.

I sent a comment eventually... (Read the full review)

M&s sneaky dishonest valentine's deliveries
14 February 2017
Reviewer: Kayesem from UK

73 of 156 people found this review helpful

Ordered 2 bunches of Valentine's flowers on 13 Feb to be delivered to a work address in London ONLY because M&S advertised their ability to get them there in time for Valentine's Day.

What M&S did NOT mention was that flowers could be delivered anytime between 7am and 7pm!

Of course, the idea is for a loved one to receive them DURING the day - not late in the evening - not keastbecause most people are being taken out for dinner on that special day!

To add insult to injury, M&S also don't tell you that they will be using one of THE most UNRELIABLE and DISHONEST courier companies - Yodel - to deliver. So the whole experience has been a nail-biting one since Yodel are notorious for claiming they've "tried to deliver but couldn't as no one was there to receive them"!!!

I WILL NEVER USE M&S FLOWERS OR DELIVERY SERVICE AGAIN. RUBBISH!

In summary, I would not recommend Marks and Spencer Flowers to a friend.

Got the wrong date three times.

Reviewer: M Craig from Uk

Ordered flowers for daughter coming back from honeymoon and new house. They arrives 3 days too early. I phoned and explained that there was no one there till the Saturday, and flowers left out for 3 days won't be in good condition. They re scheduled fresh flowers for the Saturday. Still no flowers. I called again. They insisted they were delivered. I was then cut off. Called again. New person. Explained the whole saga again. They said the flowers were not scheduled for delivery till the following Tuesday. I told them not to bother. What a waste of time and money. Total let down.

Miserable!
28 January 2017
Reviewer: Peter from ESSEX

87 of 177 people found this review helpful

I am currently having a miserable time thanks to M&S.

Don't be fooled by the brand; the service, and after service are rubbish.

They do not seem to realise ( or care ) that flowers are often an emotional purchase,

and they have no appreciation of delivery time windows. ( very cheap couriers used ) .

The up front offer of a full refund, is a preparation to fail, if ever I saw one.

In summary, I would not recommend Marks and Spencer Flowers to a friend.

Ag double dozen rose bq
11 July 2015
Reviewer: Kathy from Essex England

168 of 300 people found this review helpful

I was sent 2 dozens roses by some very good friends as I had just had a major operation. When I opened the box the roses were already beginning to turn brown. I removed all of the brown leaves before putting them into water but now 3 days later they are in very poor condition. I received other roses more than a week ago and these are in better condition than those I received only 3 days ago. I am very disappointed that a reputable company such as Marks & Spencer have supplied poor quality goods.

In summary, I would not recommend Marks and Spencer Flowers to a friend.

Not even M&S - Worst Florist Ever
26 February 2015
Reviewer: Susanne T from Devon, UK

After seeing the lovely quality flowers in store, I ordered a beautiful large blue flower bouquet from the M&S website for my parents' sapphire wedding anniversary which I thought would be perfect. Delivery day arrived and the flowers were a no show, at 11.10pm with their anniversary nearly over, there was a knock at the door - the flowers had finally arrived. I couldn't believe what had been delivered, not the beautiful large blue bouquet I had ordered but a pitifully small orange bag with a few orange and pink gerbera/daisies. I understand that sometimes flowers have to be substituted but I paid a lot of money and the substitution was pathetic and cheap, would have cost only a fraction of what I paid and was more of an insult than a substitution - they could at least have sent an equivalent bouquet instead of the small, cheap, gaudy birthday bag. It would also have been nice for the delivery to have been made at an acceptable hour of the day. I contacted M&S and apparently their delivery flowers are by a different company who deliver on behalf of M&S, and I was offered my money back - no apology.... (Read the full review)

Non delivery
26 January 2015
Reviewer: Marilyn from London

157 of 286 people found this review helpful

I had arranged delivery for flowers and tracking showed them to be in transit. They never arrived so contacted M & S to be told they had not been put on the van in time. So why did tracking say they were in transit? Have now arranged for a new bouquet to be delivered tomorrow but have already told M & S if they fail to show I will cancel and ask for money back. Flowers are usually sent on a particular date for a reason. If they can't make these deliveries they should not take the orders. This service is terrible and I will NEVER use it again. People are let down and disappointed all because deliveries are not being met. Do not use them unless a particular date does not matter to you. Just not good enough.

In summary, I would not recommend Marks and Spencer Flowers to a friend.

Will never use again if they continue to use yodel

Reviewer: Clevedon from Uk

2 of us ordered flowers from marks and Spencer for 2 different occasions. Tracked on site both deliveries stated on yodel site delivered at a specific time to a safe are in a porch, neither had a porch. No deliveries made to either address. M and S very good and redelivered to one next day. Ring on doorbell , 5 seconds later a parcel on doorstep - no courier he had vanished already. Tracking said again delivered to a safe area. No-an open step to main road not safe.

Got money back from second occasion. Will always ask who the courier is next time and if Yodel will not place and order with them. Have told everyone we know as this ruined two very special days

In summary, I would not recommend Marks and Spencer Flowers to a friend.
