I ordered a bouquet, cake and balloon for a birthday surprise for a friend. When ordering, I could not see how to request a time slot, although it says this can be done. I emailed customer service but was too late. I had an email at 4.35pm to say the flowers had been delivered. I knew my friend was out at this time, so I emailed the company to ask where the flowers had been left (I had requested Deliver to a neighbour) and wondered which neighbour had taken them in. I was told the parcel was left in a secure place at the front of the house. There is no secure place at the front of the house, so I immediately drove to my friends house, luckily not too many miles away, and there was the parcel, outside the front door, in full view, so any passer-by could take it. Also it had been raining, so parcel was soaking wet.
When emailing the company, trying to get the point across that the parcel was not left in a secure place, and questioned why not left with a neighbour, was absolutely hopeless. They seem to argue the point and not take into account what you are saying.
I do not know of any courier service that would just leave parcels outside of doors in full view of the street. Why would they do that.
I would never buy from this company again, and it completely ruined my surprise gift for my friend.
In summary, I would not recommend Serenata Flowers to a friend.
