After seeing the lovely quality flowers in store, I ordered a beautiful large blue flower bouquet from the M&S website for my parents' sapphire wedding anniversary which I thought would be perfect. Delivery day arrived and the flowers were a no show, at 11.10pm with their anniversary nearly over, there was a knock at the door - the flowers had finally arrived. I couldn't believe what had been delivered, not the beautiful large blue bouquet I had ordered but a pitifully small orange bag with a few orange and pink gerbera/daisies. I understand that sometimes flowers have to be substituted but I paid a lot of money and the substitution was pathetic and cheap, would have cost only a fraction of what I paid and was more of an insult than a substitution - they could at least have sent an equivalent bouquet instead of the small, cheap, gaudy birthday bag. It would also have been nice for the delivery to have been made at an acceptable hour of the day. I contacted M&S and apparently their delivery flowers are by a different company who deliver on behalf of M&S, and I was offered my money back - no apology. After many phone calls and letters, I was grudgingly offered a £50 M&S gift card and told in no uncertain terms to go away. I will never, ever order from M&S flowers again - they have nothing to do with M&S and are a joke, I find it hard to believe that M&S allow such a poor contractor to use their name. There really isn't anything good I can say except the website looks great, I just wish I'd bought flowers from the local petrol station - they would have been a better option.
In summary, I would not recommend Marks and Spencer Flowers to a friend.
