Firstly, I placed an order with Fineflora on 8 May for their Vintage Flower Bouquet. This was advertised to be "Full of lovely colour, the flowers are arranged by the florist in a vintage style bouquet and include roses, lisianthus, chrysanthemums and carnations." The main reason for my choosing of this particular product was due to the carnations that was represented to be included in the bouquet was it was parents' day in my culture and it is customary to give carnations to your parents.

Now, what was delivered was nothing like what was shown and described on the website but a bunch of red alstroemeria, blue hydrangea, some white daisy type variety and another purple flower. Therefore, this was certainly not as described contrary to the Sale of Goods Act 1979 ('SGA 1979'). The lack of carnations would also render them unfit for purpose under the SGA 1979.

Then, my parents found some remnants of rotten leaves amongst the foliage of the bouquet. Imagine my, and more importantly, their disappointment at receiving such below quality product. This, with its unsatisfactory quality is also in breach of the SGA 1979.

Following such gross disappointment I contacted the customer services on 9 May with a complaint. That was met with 'the photos are just a guide'. I wonder why such point was not made clear during the ordering process. Contrary to Fineflora's own guarantee advertised in their website, and to which anyone using their website and placing order with them would be bound by default, no replacement was offered despite my complaint.

After that the customer service was completely silent despite my various attempts at sending several more emails, tweeting on Twitter in the hopes of getting the firm's attention (of which there seemed to be plenty looking at their own Twitter updates), sending a letter to their registered address as shown on their website and leaving comments on their blog (of which all were unceremoniously promptly deleted).

Then today I left 4 posts on their Facebook page (one of which were shared with my friends and on which they left many comments). At first, Fineflora replied to such posts claiming that the customer service had sent me two further emails that I never received. They said to check my junk inbox, however, I fail to see how further correspondence from Fineflora would have been mislaid when the one and only correspondence I received on 9 May got through just fine.

Understandably I asked the Fineflora team to provide me with the emails that they purported were sent. Then I was sent an apparent 'threat' - saying that Fineflora will be taking all the correspondence between myself and Fineflora to the Office of Fair Trading. I hope you see the irony in this as I did. The only reason I had not brought this matter to the attention of the Office of Fair Trading was due to the fact that Fineflora was based in Guernsey and the scope of Office of Fair Trading was known to be UK. I was perfectly happy for them to take this matter to them and so I encouraged them by all means.

After this, it was brought to my attention that all my posts on Fineflora facebook page had been deleted! Imagine my lack of surprise! This is why I keep a back up of all my texts and screenshots.

To anyone even thinking of using this firm; I would like to discourage you in the most sincere fashion. You will have more or less just thrown the money down the drain. You will order A and then get B and then get no customer service whatsoever. I very much regret not having done a quick Google search on Fineflora because that is all that would have been required to reveal their true identity to me. Their utter lack of honesty, transparency and integrity.

In summary, I would not recommend Fine Flora to a friend.
