I used iflorist to order flowers to be delivered to my mom in Canada for Mother's Day and her 83rd birthday which are close together. I placed my order online on the 5th May for delivery on the 9th, ie, the Friday before Mother's Day Sunday on the 11th May. I received a confirmation email from iflorist straight away and then a second the next day indicating the order had been allocated for delivery on the 9th. I planned this well ahead as I was flying from Manchester, UK to Phoenix on Saturday the 10th and wanted to ensure it was all taken care of before my flight. I'd expected to get a call from my mom on Friday when she received the flowers and when I didn't I got in touch with another family member to ask if they'd arrived. They hadn't! I thought perhaps they'd be delivered Saturday which would still have been okay but when they didn't arrive Saturday I realised they weren't going to arrive in time for Mother's Day as the website said they don't deliver on Sunday. As I was in transit all day Saturday, all I could manage to do was send an email from my iphone to find out what had gone wrong. I received an automated confirmation email with a ticket number stating that they would get back to me once they'd looked into my concerns. I couldn't ring them on Sunday as their offices are closed and therefore planned to make a call (international at this point as I was in the States so it was going to be expensive!) on Monday to get to the bottom of the problem. With an 8 hour time difference and having planned a trip to the Grand Canyon on Monday this was going to be difficult and incredibly inconvenient! I also had to make an international call to a local florist in Canada to order what was now going to be a belated Mother's Day/birthday gift.

I received two emails from iflorist on Monday, the first indicating that the flowers had been successfully delivered (which they had not) and the second telling me that they had found out that there was no delivery coverage to the area in which my mother lived and they would therefore refund the full amount I'd paid for the flowers. I was extremely annoyed to receive this on the 12th May, a full week after I'd ordered the flowers and been advised they would be delivered on the 9th. It's inexcusable that they did not confirm delivery arrangements in advance of accepting my order and taking my money. Obviously, I would have found another florist that did deliver to my mother's address but as it turned out I missed both her birthday and Mother's Day for the first time ever due to their incompetence and failure to communicate.

I will never use iflorist again and will recommend against them to friends and family. I only wish I'd read some of these reviews in advance of placing my order as it would have saved me considerable grief! Hopefully, my experience will save some other unsuspecting people from making the same mistake that I did.

In summary, I would not recommend iFlorist to a friend.
